Workshops:
Diamond Decorations: Turn a simple card form into a seasonal accent. Learn to make a diamond-shaped ornament and embellish with novelty yarns and beads.

Kumihimo: Create a kumihimo cord with a diamond pattern from coloured floss. Learn this ancient Japanese method of braiding by following a basic pattern and setting up your marudai. Turning your braid into a bracelet will also be demonstrated.

Drop-Spindling: Learn the basics of traditional spinning and make yarn you can weave with. A drop spindle and wool will be provided. Give it a “whorl!”

Wheat Weaving: Try your hand at the ancient technique of wheat weaving. You'll make a star ornament and, time permitting, learn a flat braid technique. The history of corn dollies will also be explained.
