Welcome to the Kitchener-Waterloo Weavers' & Spinners' Guild!

Since 1948

The KW Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild has been weaving and spinning in the Region of Waterloo since 1948.  We are dedicated to preserving and advancing textile arts by offering classes, workshops, and other learning opportunities to our members and the wider community.

Our Projects Committee always has exciting projects that members are invited to join.  There are always at least one or two projects on-going. And we often offer mentorship programs for graduates of some of our classes.

A semi-annual Show & Sale is held to show case our work and we also demonstrate weaving and spinning at other events throughout the region.

At our monthly meetings, we include guest speakers, demonstrations, and activities. We often bring in outside speakers of great renown in the fibre community.

Our members have access to a rich diversity of activities, events, discounted course fees, equipment and library resources.  Best of all is belonging to a welcoming, vibrant community of active makers with whom to share your love of fibre art and learning.

We encourage anyone with an interest in textile arts to visit and explore our Guild.  Contact us to arrange a tour or to come visit us during one of our monthly meetings.

Our Studio

We have one of the largest and most well-equipped fibre arts studios in Ontario with a separate classroom so classes and workshops can proceed while we enjoy the rest of the studio.
