Donations are gladly accepted to KWWS, however we do have a few guidelines we have to follow.
We cannot reimburse you for your donation.
We are not a charity, so cannot issue a tax receipt.
If you are looking to be paid, please use the Guild newsletter, Facebook Marketplace or Kijjiji. The guild also offers free classifieds on our website.
Donations need to be weaving, dyeing or spinning related. (Other fiber/yarn crafts such as needle work, lacemaking etc., are welcome at Thrift on Kent very near the Guild).
It may be used for teaching/classes
It may be used for guild projects
It will be sold to members
If it cannot be used or sold/given to guild members, it will be donated to Thrift on Kent
Yarn should be clean and on cones or skeins
Fibre should be clean and bagged
Natural fibers are preferred
Table and floor looms are accepted
If it is a model that the guild has room for and can use, it will be kept at the guild for members to use, otherwise it will be sold to members or the community.
Spinning wheels, carders and other related equipment
Inkle looms, pick up sticks, assorted shuttles and reeds and other related equipment
Need to be spinning, dyeing or weaving related
