Membership Application

Important Information for New Members

Fees:

Yearly membership is $125 for 2025.

New members who are currently taking a class or have taken a class within the last 6 months receive a retroactive class discount of 10% of the class fee applied to their membership fee.

Individuals who have never previously held a guild membership and would like to join after June 30th pay a fee of $65. If those individuals join after November 30, they pay $125 which includes the full membership for the following year 

Key Deposit:

A $25 key deposit in cash is required in order to receive a key. This will be refunded upon the return of the key.  Please do not include the key deposit with the membership fee.

Membership Responsibilities:

Members are expected to participate in the activities of the Guild.  Please let us know which committee you would like to serve on.

Privacy and Use of Personal Information:

Personal information is collected in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) to send communications and to administer operations of the Kitchener Waterloo Spinners’ and Weavers’ Guild. As a Guild member, your name and contact information may be shared with other members in accordance with Ontario’s Not-For-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA). We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us when you fill any forms on the Website.  For Membership, the following information is  required to become a member:

• Contact information (such as email address (gmail), phone number etc)

• Basic personal information (such as name, address, etc)

Email from Guild

By signing up, you consent to receive emails from the Guild.  You may unsubscribe from emails at any time.  A gmail account is required to join the guild in order to take advantage of some of the features on the Website or at the Guild.
